A Halloween Preview

My friend Sarah got an awesome acting gig at Liseberg, which is an amusement park here in Gothenburg. Last year they launched their first ever Halloween theme in the park and as we love Halloween, we went! Imagine our joy when last week, Liseberg told Sarah that she could go on Monday and bring her friends for a preview!

With that being said, I wanted to show you some pictures from when we went last year to give you a hint of our experience. (Keep in mind that this year, Liseberg is going bigger for Halloween – who knows what we can expect!)

It took a couple of hours before it got dark in the park. Me and Sarah went to one of the restaurants in the park for dinner, which was a great decision – you don’t want to explore the park on low energy. The park had been decorated with scarecrows and pumpkins and there were so much to look at that we didn’t mind it being bright out.

In the building pictured in the top photo we found a freaky exhibit and a freak show that we really enjoyed. Not sure if they will do it again this year, but since we didn’t go into any of the haunted houses (the lines were to long) this was a good (and free) alternative.

By the evening, the park got insanely crowded! I would recommend you make a visit, but maybe wait (if you can) a couple of days after opening. We got stuck on this bridge for 15-20 minutes.

Over all, the park was beautiful and totally worth it! In Sweden we don’t celebrate Halloween like people do in the US, with decorated houses and such, which really makes this a rare thing!

I’m not sure if we’re allowed to photograph and film on Monday, but I will keep you updated (and I will most likely visit the park after the opening and document my visit then). Are you going this year, and if so, what are you most excited about? 🙂
