Monthly Update – December

saga.JPG

It’s no secret that I abandoned the blog over a long period of time. I wasn’t sure what to make of it and I had zero time to figure it out. Now that the holidays are over it’s like I’m finally taking a look at “the problem” only to realize that I really don’t have a problem with it. I want to live a more creative life and I want to share it with anyone who is willing to listen (or read about it)!

The last couple of months have been hectic, studying full time and working retail during the holiday, I just needed a break to find excitement and fun in the things I used to do again, and now I really feel like I am back to stay.

I Received a Yummy Gift

1a

I’ve always been a sucker for things that improve my level of coziness – Fluffy socks, tasty treats, bubble baths, scented candles. No one knows this better than my parents. This Christmas they really surprised me when they gave me the best Christmas gift ever – a very thoughtful care package filled with fairtrade, vegan snacks and teas that they had handpicked, most of which I had never even tried before myself.

Monthly Update – October

bunny

October went by really fast and I can tell you this – I feel it! I’ve been learning new, fun things at work and I started my very own class (that I designed myself) a couple of weeks ago (which included a visit the an exhibit with my friend Jannie, as you can see from the painting above). It’s been great, but I can’t wait to move forward.

The best thing about October coming to an end is that I am done with the distractions. I haven’t really written about it here but I’ve been dealing with several hospital visits to figure out why I keep having constant migraines and now I’m at a point where I’m doing fine and feeling healthy – which means I can focus on more fun stuff in November!

Music in Games (Part 4) – Halloween Edition

While P.T (A playable teaser for the now cancelled game Silent Hills) never had an official soundtrack, one of the creepy audio elements gamers could experience were the strange recordings (one in Swedish) coming from the radio in the hallway.

The horror genre has a huge following, and with games being a more interactive experience than books and films, the horror also become more real and terrifying. It is safe to say that music and audio in horror games play an important part.

My Creepy, Creative Side

jag 1.jpg

I’ve been pretty busy this fall, in fact I’ve been so busy that I basically woke up one day and Halloween was over and I missed the entire thing. (And on top of that, it’s also my favorite holiday). I still have a character that I want to create, and I will, because while I love Halloween, I don’t really need an excuse to dress up! Still I wanted to give you a little something, so here is my costume from last year that I wore to a huge circus themed party I threw for all my friends. Just watching these pictures makes me want to get started on the next project!

A Childhood Horror Story

bok

Many do not know this, but I used to work at a small library in my hometown for a couple of years before I went back to school. It was a place I used to visit long before I started working there, in fact, I used to go there every week when I was younger to rent Jurassic Park since I didn’t own it on VHS. When I got hired there in my early twenties, I worked with creative workshops, events and book clubs (to name a few things) and my life was all about finding interesting books and encouraging people to read. These days I don’t have as much time for reading as I used to (and wish), but I still collect a whole lot of comics and I try to read them whenever I can.

Lush Halloween 2016!

lush-omslag

I know many of you have been waiting for this! The sparkling and colorful Halloween products from Lush is finally here! If you know me, then you know that I love Halloween and that I’m a hardcore Lushie, so combining the two is a dream (that comes true once a year). I wanted to guide you through the products (leaving out Lord of Misrule because I still have my bottle from last year) and to tell you a little bit about my favorites.

Upcoming Horror Adventures

asAshen Falls concept art.

With Halloween around the corner, I figured it would be suiting to dive into the horror genre and it’s future. I don’t know about you, but while I love the horror genre, it’s been a while since any of the games within it actually surprised me or blew my mind. I’m thirsty for something creative, something that doesn’t only scare me but also makes me think. Here are some upcoming horror games that might challenge the horror genre as we know it.

A Lovely Evening Full of Terror

IMG_4281.JPG

Last night, me and a group of friends were invited to Liseberg to get a preview of the park’s haunted houses. As I predicted in my previous post, we weren’t allowed to take any pictures of the haunted houses or the decorations, which is why I used a very anonymous picture of us leaving the park up there. 😉 Nevertheless, I wanted to write an update because we had so much fun and the experience was amazing.

A Travel Buddy Update

fushimi-inari-taisha-shrine-1613765_1280

As most of you know, I’m planning a trip to Japan 2017 and I’m super excited! I have a very common problem, however – and that is that I don’t know who to bring. Most of my friends have either been to Japan several times or have made other plans (work, babies, projects), and finding a random stranger to travel with turned out to be harder than I expected. I wanted to provide you with an update and my thoughts on this travel buddy thing.
